Earth Day: Re-Useable Water Bottles

Earth Day, April 22nd, is now upon us and once again we ecologically-impaired-simpletons turn our attention to the efforts to reduce global warming, reduce toxins and re-energize our attempts to recycle and re-use. I work for a luggage company and once every year we drag out the luggage and travel products that are supposed to be eco-friendly. There is luggage made from hemp and the Nahui Ollin handbags made from recycled candy wrappers. Plus, we offer the usual array of ‘AZO free’ products; as well as promote the beautiful eco-friendly leather products (what is more natural than leather?) that claim to use non-toxic processing methods.

Admittedly, I am not the most earth conscious person. I recycle cans, bottles, papers and whatever else is allowed in my ‘blue bag’ on garbage day. Truthfully, I do it mostly because it is a way to reduce the amount of garbage that gets hauled away that I pay for, verses the recycle products that get hauled away for free.
