Is it safe to travel to a particular country? In the news this week, it is not the 
best time to be traveling to Thailand, last week India, earlier in the month Ethiopia. What should one do to ensure the foreign land you are traveling to is a safe destination?
The absolute best place to find information about a country you may be visiting outside the United States is The US Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affair’s website www.travel.state.gov . Passports, visas, vaccinations, travel alerts, health alerts, insurance, driving; they even have information about overseas travel for pets.
The State Department’s site is your absolute best resource before embarking on any trip to a foreign land. Not only before you leave, but also while abroad if any issues come up regarding financial emergencies, legal assistance, evacuations….really anything!
